Archimandrite Athanasios Mitilinaios, Abbot of the Monastery of Komnineiou and Saint John the Theologian in Larisa, Greece, one of the most distinguished and popular Orthodox Christian speakers of the 20th century. In the early 1980’s, thousands would gather to hear the Elder’s weekly commentary on the Book of Revelation, in which the holy Apostle John the Theologian records the revelation of Jesus Christ shown to him during his exile on the island of Patmos.
