SYNAXIS: Daily Saints Troparia

Join us for the reading of the daily hymns which commemorate the saints and the Great Feasts of the liturgical year of the Orthodox Church. The daily Troparia and Kontakia are read, for practical reasons, according to the order of the Julian calendar, for the benefit of all. The Apolytikion (Greek: Ἀπολυτίκιον) or Dismissal Hymn is a troparion (a short hymn of one stanza) said or sung at Orthodox Christian worship services. The apolytikion summarizes the feastbeing celebrated that day. It is chanted at Vespers, Matins and the Divine Liturgy; and it is read at each of the Hours.
