Dr. David L. Brown is a prominent figure in the healthcare sector, best known for founding the Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano. His journey into creating one of the top heart hospitals in the country began when he received a letter from Jim Reilly of TRG Cardiovascular, a company known for facilitating the creation of dedicated heart hospitals. Inspired by this, Dr. Brown rallied a group of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to invest in and co-own the envisioned hospital, ultimately forming a robust physician-owned venture.

Dr. Brown's vision was to establish a hospital that not only excelled in cardiovascular care but also fostered a sense of ownership and pride among its physicians. His leadership and innovative approach helped Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano achieve national recognition, including being ranked among the top hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report.

The hospital, located in Plano, Texas, has grown significantly under his guidance, featuring advanced technology, a dedicated cardiovascular research suite, and state-of-the-art facilities aimed at improving patient outcomes and satisfaction. Dr. Brown continues to play an active role in the hospital as President and Chairman of the Medical Staff, contributing to its ongoing success and reputation in the medical community.
