Hi, I’m Jami, a mom of seven, professional counselor, parenting coach…and someone who’s been where you are…Trying to make sense of those challenging and often baffling behaviors and big emotions.

I was trying every good strategy I could think of, being more strict, being more consistent, searching for more solutions, and doing “all the things” that were “supposed” to work.

Finally, I realized that to calm my child’s intense emotions, I needed to understand his unique wiring, identify his specific needs, adjust my approach, and shift from control to connection. Once I made that shift, our family dynamic was transformed, and I experienced a connection with my child that I feared I'd never know.
